Our local club does not have a launch tower for launching small rockets without rail lugs so I decided to build one. I started with some materials I already had around the shop. I wanted a tower that could be transported and be able to launch 29mm and 24mm rockets. I also wanted it to support the rocket during launch up to 6'. Looks like it will do 38mm as long as the total fin diameter is less than 6". I Need to order more rail to finish this project so the photos just show how the tower is fabricated.

Very nice, how did you do the aluminum rings? Are they cut from a cylinder?
Friend of mine builds airplane kits. They have a large Qty of cutoffs in both 5" and 6" dia. Usually around 5' or 6' long. I should list some on the Yard sale. Normally this material is around $50/ft. It is 6061-t6 aircraft grade.

Finished tower, Hope to try it at the next launch.
