I’m just slightly ahead of your build. I was able to make a lot of progress during the arctic blast.
I had a little touch up to do on the tips of fillets, but all is good now!

Nate, Did you get the positions for your rail buttons from Open Rocket data?
I’m about to place mine and I’m just curious.

I got mine painted before mounting the rail buttons. No biggie.
You may have seen my grandson on the Mach1 page for his SCAT.

I just need appropriate painting weather and still need to assemble the Quark. I could fly mine naked and with motor eject today if the ceiling was higher than 200'.

I just mounted the aft button 1 caliber above the tail of the rocket and the forward button just in front of the forward centering ring.

I was thinking about going “mostly naked” on my next build, OMICRON. I would carefully pre-think all the epoxy joints and stay clean, then put the graphics on and clear coat. But that’ll be something I’ll need to convince myself of.

I have the Quark and the Eggfinder mini going in that one.

Tom, what recovery are you going with on your Black Hole? I have a 12" drogue, but I haven't decided on a main until I have a final weight.

This Black Hole is Single deploy with JLCR. I’m going with 18” Top Flite micro light Chute.
I’m putting all my bells and whistles into the Omicron. DD, Eggfinder, Quark or maybe my Quantum. 6” drougue and 12” main. Both T F micro light.
