The Oroville dam is overflowing the emergency spillway for the first time ever, because the concrete spillway has sustained over $200 million in damage. Inflows are still exceeding outflow and should continue to do so until tomorrow night.
Hopefully, the second largest water reservoir in California and tallest dam (770') in the US does not fail...it's an earthfill construction.
