I have never attempted this before. But I am still after two years, "morning" the fact I gave away my old Estes Voyager II (b/c I was downsizing and I thought someone else would fly it more). I am glad they like it but secretly I regret it! I used to launch it on 18mm D10-W's it was glorious.

Anyway. I dont even know how this works. Can I get some plans and go from there? I know I can get the nose cone....its the same as the current Odyssey 5 kit. If Estes made this kit I would get a couple of them. But I would really like to make another Voyager II. I am also stumped because it has/had paper folded "something or others on the main wings/fins (I wish I had a photo to show you).

Any help would be most appreciated.
    Thanks
    Andrew

p.s. I also love all those "interceptor" spin offs Estes put out too. As of now I cant remember the names. It sure would be great if they released some of those. If not I would like to clone those as well.

Plans are on the JimZ website:http://www.spacemodeling.org/jimz/est2000.htm. Click on the picture of the compass/ruler/calipers on the bottom for a list of parts.
There is a pattern for the cardstock wing fairings in the plans.

Edit: Also nose cone can be purchased separately here:
    https://www.siriusrocketry.biz/ishop/estes-pnc-72689-nose-cone-1386.html
or as part of the Estes sci-fi nose pack assortment at numerous vendors.

Another site for old plans that cloners frequently use is Ye Olde Rocket Plans:

You can try to print the decal sheet as is, but often those scanned images have a light blue background to them and may be grainy. You might need to modify the image file or trace it to make new artwork using something like GIMP or Inkscape.
