LOC Big Nuke: I had mine made with a central 54mm MM and (3) 29mm MM's for Air Starts.

    K570WT, K750W, L1100RR. Each flight also had (3) H97J's Air Started.

Awesome pictures, Gary. I am looking to debut my Big Nuke on a J350 at Amesbury in April. Mine will only have the 54mm mount. Did you get the 43" booster tube and the 27" payload tube?

No I kept it the original sizes of the 34" booster and 24" payload, I don't like stretching kits as they never look like the original design. Stock it already fits the 54/2550 case anyway.

Here are the pictures of my Big Nuke. I had Barry stretch it a little. The booster section is 43 inches long and the payload tube is 24 inches long. He also included a longer motor tube as well. Its first flight will be on April 30th at Amesbury, MA on a J350. The total empty weight is 10 pounds 5 ounces.

This one is my Lil Nuke-based Lil Ninja. Just a change of fins, paint and decal. Flew for the first time this past Saturday on an F20-7. Igniter problems caused a long delay on the pad, and camera problems caused me to only wind up with a shot of it farting on the pad, so no lift-off shot.

This is my brother in law, Tony Fragge's, Der Bigger Red Max, also based on the LOC Lil Nuke. This also flew this past Saturday on an old NCR motor that Tony had forgotten he'd bought a few years back. Impressive flight. No igniter problems here.

    Gary,

What are you using to light these H97's? I have a 5.5" Nike Smoke in the works with a 54 and 4 29's and have been trying to think of the best way to do it. At the moment I am thinking augmented Quest Q2's.

Never one to leave well enough alone, here's my "Steppin' Razor" (Larry Brand's Auracle 54) cloned from a LOC L'il Nuke kit.

Of course, it's a tube fin...but it only hits 2000' on an H128.

The nose cone is still in primer and didn't make it into the first pic with the vinyl applied, but here is my LOC Big Nuke 3E.

I'll post some more photos soon, and hopefully some liftoff shots of its maiden flight.
