I got my L1 today and caught both on-board and ground-based footage:

On-board, with surprise ending (camera: Mobius Mini):

Ground-based, less exciting (camera: Google Pixel)

Chute came out a bit early. The delay and/or delay drilling tool wasn't precise enough. Next time I'm doing dual deployment, so I don't have to walk so far.

Nice!!
Congrats, and welcome to high power rocketry! :)

I've been looking into buying a LOC IV, how was the build? If the rocket is a good one, I'll probably buy one, since I'm getting a raise this month. :)

It's a awesome rocket, only made better by the fact that it's 38mm mmt now. Mine from the '90's is 29mm mmt. Maybe time to upgrade...

The kit was an easy build, following the instruction video I linked in the first post.

Nice flight! You must have done a good job with fin alignment, because there was very little spin on the way up.

Isn’t it amazing how rockets can find the one place you do NOT want them to land, and then head straight for it?

Congrats on your L1. As an alternative to dual deploy you can use a Jolly Logic chute release in your LOC IV without modification. The chute deployment is at motor eject, but the chute remains closed to a pre determined altitude that you set.

Congrats!! Love the no spin on board footage. How did you mount the mobius mini?

+1 for the JLCR! Great for pop and drop fun flying, way less work than DD prep (which has its place too).
