If you're using a Stiffy inside the standard coupler, glassing is not necessary. No stiffy, then glassing the ID of the coupler is indeed a good idea.

I do really like the 7.5" Loc Patriot; I've built a few and they fly great on a variety of motors!!!

As I mentioned earlier, I got my Fusion 360 fixed, so I designed this Screw Switch mount

Got the Entire Patriot painted with epoxy and going allow several days for a full cure before sanding it down smooth (Not looking forward to that). Also, poured epoxy onto the aft bulkhead. I plugged the blind nuts with bolts covered with Vaseline. Had to use a tap to clear some epoxy that accidently got onto the threads of one of the blind nuts. Worked like a champ.

I need to get myself a new Dremel tool or something to cut the back end off the nose cone off to install the weight mount.

Maybe sounds a bit counterintuitive but I'd recommend doing it by hand using a razor saw or hacksaw. With Loc NCs I wrap several layers of masking tape around the shoulder, to act as a guide, then work slowly around the circumference cut line, letting the saw teeth do the work initially, the increasing the pressure, gradually working deeper once the groove has been fully established all the way round.

Today, for the first time I "played" with the 12 foot Rocketman parachute that I got for Christmas during Secret Santa. First "jelly fish" style chute I own. It's light, doesn't take much space, and the light breeze we have was enough to inflate it. I'm quite impressed.
