Never hear of anyone doing it but LOC does have thhe LaserLOC 163 a 38 min diameter.
On this they supply glass to do tip to tip.

No reason you couldn't build a park flier as min dia.

Looks like a cool project.

The Mini Nuke does resemble the OOP Mach Buster.

Haven't done this with a 1.6" but I did this with a 1.0" Xeno. I left the motor mount out and used one of the centering rings as a motor block for an Estes E motor. Shaved the fin tabs down and added nose weight. Flew that rocket a couple times on C11's and C6's. Wind was dead calm so I let someone talk me into the E12. I pushed the button and said bye bye.

Knowing the actual weight of the rocket I sim'd the E12 and best guess is 2800 ft. Never saw it again.

Over ten years ago I launched a Mach Buster on a AT G-55.

Same scenario, calm with blue sky's. I saw it for about a second and that was it.
