What are the top 3 material things(non-living) that brings a smile to your face just looking at, much less own? It can be a car, boat, rockets, or one of your hobby items. Past items can be included too. Pictures highly encouraged. Please refrain from things like AIR, WATER, FOOD

My favorite material things bridge into my favorite experiences.

1. My record collection. I've collected vinyl albums since I was a young teenager. I love listening to music and I love going to concerts.

2. My/our bicycle stable. We have a lot of bikes in the garage and shed with enough spare parts to put together a few more. It's worth it.

3. Season passes for Cedar Fair parks

I do wish a long, healthy life to those "material things(non-living)" dogs. 😁

I'm a simple person: computer (MacBook), car (PHEV), bicycle (aluminum gravel).

I like my rockets but most of them are easy to replace.

Any rally car (Subaru, Lancia, Porche, etc...)
A beach: white sands, light blue water, Permit & bonefish..
something back & sheer worn by.. :D

I've pondered this and have concluded, to my own surprise, and it's been hard to come up with anything. A year or two ago I might have said my Tesla but EM's conduct of late has taken the shine off it a bit. Back when I had my big SVS sub that might have qualified, but it's long gone.

I guess that mainly leaves my rocket collection, although even that tends to bring me mixed emotions these days because they spend far too much time hanging on the wall and not nearly enough time up in the air.

My Thai Temple dogs that Mrs refuses to let me display. They are hideous when you first look at them, but grow on you the more you do look at them.
My Anasazi pot dated at over 10k years old, found on great grand dad Pitt's ranch in New Mexico. Mrs refuses to let me display since it doesn't match her decor.
A three media picture my uncle drew when he was in college. It is a depression era picture of the forlorn Oakie and his wife looking out the truck window, a panel below that is a the road stretching to infinity and the third panel I can't remember it's been so long since I've seen it. Mrs also wont let me display because it is too depressing.
I would attach pics but they are well protected and in storage.
edit: everyone in the house has gone shopping, leaving me alone to bake cheese cakes. While those were in the oven I needed to hunt down the markings for my Lance Beta. In the same closet are my 3 most prized, so I took the opportunity to take some photos.

I thought a specific material item would be a fly fishing outfit from you.
as muhc as I love fly fishing (fishign in general!!), I find 'fly fishing' stuff w-a-a-a-y expensive. and since we are 'dreaming' I have other things that beat a Simms or Orvis outfit..

(And hence why the 'Black Sheer" .. could be what my fishing / life partner is wearing.. at said beach ;) )

I wouldn’t worry about it. You can very well split someone's personal behavior from their professional behavior (or employer). Just like Apple, Papa John's, Livestrong, and the WWE, the car maker will still have great products from an incredible team after the founders or promoters are gone (regardless of how it happens). Just my 2🪙's.

As for the topic, I also like pizza but unfortunately, it never lasts very long. 🍕🤪🍽️:(

Ok I'll play "what-if / dream mode"

There is useful and useless materialism. Useful materialism requires the understanding of human nature. It's what we NEED as a species. This focuses on our environment. Both internal and external sources. The internal environment is the physical or immediate place. The house. The surrounding environment which envelopes your immediate environment is the other half. Think of the places you dream of living in. Whether tropical, wooded, snowy or the desert. Whatever rocks your boat as the special place. The conditions which cleanses you, invigorates you, provides peace, tranquility and safety for you. Camping is a good example of this. Why do we go camping? To get away from it all. All my personal interests come after the fact. The cherry on top so to speak.

I have too many interests so it is hard to pick favorites- cars, computers, rockets, guns, cameras. These days I get the most enjoyment out of my Jeep Wrangler, my computers, and my Nikon DSLR (that I also use for rocket photography).

Guns, Cars, rockets. I can't find a picture of my Mustang. The Explorer is an ST, 400hp. It is a rocket
Guns are a Colt 1911
FNX 45 Tactical
An AR I built. I used Spikes Tactical parts. It is an SBR
My long range rifle in 30.06 with a YHM suppressor
My safe
And the rockets hanging from my garage ceiling. About 180 of them.20200511_180543[939].jpg20220526_212644[944].jpg20211102_214857[941].jpg20220303_211138[943].jpg20220303_210841[942].jpg20220617_201553[945].jpg20210705_235752[938].jpg20210705_235809[356].jpg
