that is interesting reading indeed. what a tangled mess, it seems it's worse in California. bleah.
somewhere in the middle of the article he mentions supplying a fire extinguisher. definitely a good idea. but I wonder if 2A10BC really is the right thing for putting out APCP fires? surely something more specific would be better, the C (electrical) isn't really needed? (A is for "ordinary combustables, such as wood and paper"; B is for "flammable liquids, such as grease, gasoline, oil, etc.")

Yes indeed what fire extinguisher?
It would seem to me that the only part of the fire triangle of heat, fuel, oxygen, in the case of rocket motors either apcp or black powder it is only the heat that we can really affect. We cannot remove the oxygen or fuel so we must remove the heat, and for this the class "C" (Co2) is the best for the purpose.
If there are any firefighters out there who could advise it would be of interest to us

APCP can't be extinguished by a fire extinguisher once it starts burning since it doesn't need oxygen from the air. The fri extinguisher is to put out any subsequent fires that may be started by the burning propellant. Hopefully there will be none, by it just adds a little icing on the cake for the BATF inspector to see you are taking all the proper precautions
