Yep, no problems. I've flown up to J1026s off a similar tower with zero problems using PETG printed parts.
Have you ever flown any rockets with a low thrust / weight ratio, say 3:1 or 4:1, where the tower would be subjected to the heat for a longer time ?

I don't fly anything under about 10:1, so I don't have data on that. 3:1 seems really low though. Scary low. YMMV, but I wouldn't expect any problems aside from some black soot on the lower bracket.

Has anybody ever cloned one of the trussed towers like in Stine's book? Those looked so awesome that I really want to build one but I realize it would be a lot of work.

Just finished my first tower build today. It's adjustable for 24mm to 54mm, might fit a 3" in there too if the fins aren't too large. All for under $150. Some of our local clubs don't even have one so I took it upon myself to make one that many people can use.
