They already are!!!!
I just bought a Travel Trailer and no sites with electricity are available.
Will have to look for other RV parks.
Not sure where you are looking, but I just checked and electric sites still remain. I have 2 sites in Sunrise (223 & 224) for the launch. 222 is open with 30amp. Come join us!

On a more serious note, is there going to be an "official" hotel, and if so, any thoughts on when that info will be available?

They are still available. I just reserved one and there were others still available.

Hi Team. The URRG bod reserved several sites, and we are looking forward to a great time away from home. It's not often that our core group gets to travel, and we are really excited. Most of our group has campers and it's great that the site is so close to the event.
We do have some that would like to stay at the event hotel if and when that info becomes available well steer them there. Keep us posted. Thanks so much.

I’m not sure of. The host hotel but there is a cluster of them off interstate 94 and highway 50

I strongly suspect it will be the Best Western Executive Inn, Kenosha...but this is not an official announcement. It was the official hotel for LDRS 33 at Bong. I've made my reservation there...can always change it if necessary.

To answer some recurring questions www.LDRS41.com is still under construction but the website is now live. The waiver will be 12,000 with impulse through N.

The banquet will be held at the Parkway Château.

As for a hotel, there is not a "host" hotel but there are several choices clustered in close proximity around the 75th Street and I-94 corridor. There is the Best Western, Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, SpringHill Suites by Marriott, Super 8 by Wyndham, Hampton Inn & Suites, all in Kenosha, WI.

FYI -These hotels are on the outskirts of Kenosha near the banquet hall (access to I94 interstate) Launch area is 9 miles to the west. Thanks for your question - Tripoli Green Bay.

Sorry, there is no official host hotel. Just a host launch and banquet location.

That's 12,000' MSL, correct? with ground level just shy of 900'?

Usually FAA will not grant higher waivers than what they currently have, we have tried several times to get ours raised back to 10K (we are currently 9k). But if you know somebody it could

We have a good relationship with the regional flight specialist in Fort Worth, TX.
Also, Chicago, and Milwaukee air approach staff support have graciously complimented the hobby and operations. Almost in a first name bases.
LDRS 41 waiver will a standing 12,000’ AGL

Start pressing the flesh and sending in boxes of candy to the FAA now. There is a year to go, let them know that this is a national launch and will be televised or something. Wait, its the gubbernment, they don't care! :haironfire:

Extending to 12 or 15k would be amazing. The trees though......we need someone with one of those flame thrower drones....

Campsite reserved.....

FYI - Do most folks come in early and leave a day later?

I have as yet been unable to pique my better half's interest in HPR.... She likes camping, mountainbiking, canoeing, shooting, et al.
Need to construct a long-term plan to encourage her to WANT to extend our Southern Illinois 4th of July trip for 3-5 more days.... 333 miles from Staunton to Bong.... long drive day.

Suggestions? :D
