Ended up with a great weather forecast for the Feb launch at QCRC so i headed over for some flying and was not disappointed.
Started off with my Mach1 Area 51, a four inch bird on an AT L1390 G, great flight into the blue skies to just over 10k feet, with nominal recovery. Both Missileworks altimeters (RRC3/RRC2+) worked to perfection as they always do, drogueless at apogee main at 800, and the Featherweight GPS tracker walked me right to the rocket which landed over 3000 feet away.
Next up was my Wildman Rocketry Shapeshifter 75 on an AT K550. Flew perfectly up into the blue, recovery was controlled by dual Missileworks RRC2+s which of course handled everything perfectly. Drogueless at apogee to a Recon recovery 40” main at 800’. Featherweight GPS tracker walked me right to the rocket , again about 3000 feet away.
Those were the primary flights i wanted to accomplish that day but it was just to beautiful to not send something else up, went with easy peasy for the final flight, no electronics and mid power. Cosmodrome Rocketry Black Brandt II went up on an AT G64-7 for a nice flight and motor ejection onto a 30 nylon at apogee.
