Saturday I launched one of Estes best vintage fliers!

4 D12-5s! Always a good flight! Wish Estes would reissue!

Nice pictures, love the fact that you can see the multiple flames.

What type of igniters did you use?

I dug up some of the old black tipped ignitors! Why in the world did Estes change them? I've never had a problem with them in clusters!

....my very first flight years ago I used 4 D12-3s....BAD CHOICE! I had a 6" zipper from too short a delay.

Your liftoff shots are money. Clusters are cool and that Pro Series Patriot is way cool !

I am currently building this kit. Had a lot of trouble with the cardstock fin assemblies. I made a second set using balsa, and sanded the fin profile. Will see what works the best.
