Red paint spayed onto the fins and nose cone. Just waiting for it to dry completely so I can pull off the masking tape. Hmm. I kind of like the cherry red color from the 20 year old can of Krylon. Maybe I should paint the whole thing red? I don’t have a monochrome rocket.

Some people like to pull the tape off while the paint is still tacky. This prevents tear offs of the dry paint when the masking tape is pulled off. I started doing this after reading some posts, It's a good tip, but you have to be careful around the wet paint.
