I got my L1 certification today with the Blue Ridge Rocketeers flying a Mad Cow 3” Sport-X on an AeroTech H242. It flew to 2648’ and returned successfully by Rocketman chute with an ejection event at apogee and chute release deploying circa 500’. I wish to thank all those involved (and if you are reading this and see the BRR name, you’ll know who you are).
And K'Tesh seems to think that imaging is necessary, so it follows.
Now here's the full story. Since I decided to post the video, I'll have to explain just what happened (because you might figure it out). I actually had two H launches. The first was aq CTI H120, but I either forgot to turn the Chute release on or couldn't see the LEDs (more likely the former). So after a great launch with the CTI H120, deployment failed. So another launch was necessary, so another launch was affected using the AT H242 (this time with a working Chute Release). So there are two launches slapped together here, the first was the CTI H120 and the second with the AT H242. Sorry to bore you with them (it was very bright and lighting was a little washed out. I'm generally a Nikon shooter, but today I was limited to my little SONY.
