I have been trying different techniques to get optimum results with the Krylon Crystal Clear Gloss. I seem to be having problems on my test piece and was wondering if anyone else had similar problems. My clear seems to be drying into a matte clear finish. When spraying in my garage and letting set in garage(shaded space). However I was able to get great results when I spray in my garage and then set the piece in the sunlight. Temperature differences are maybe +/- 15°-20°
Except I’m sure the radiant sunlight I’m getting greater surface temperatures.
It’s been cloudy here the last few days so I’m wondering if anyone else has had issues like this and what they have done to remedy. I will post pictures to try and explain my results.
Wondering what I can do to get the great gloss clear results, if I don’t have a hot sunny day. I’m truly confused as to why this clear coat will give such different results with conditions being not so different. Should I just wait for sunny days to paint, or is my problem even due to temperature and maybe humidity or light. Thanks in advance.
Btw, my test piece is my drone
But want to make perfect practice before applying to my Estes Leviathan build.
