I'm just looking through the goony stuff I got from Excelsior.

One set is for a goony called the KRAM.

For the life of me, I cannot figure out what this is supposed to be a goonification of.:confused2:

Can anyone let me in on the secret?

I remember when I first found Phred's goonies, I never figured out what the KRAM was. Then one day I was flipping through old Estes catalogs online and I cam across the MARK with the vintage paint job. I was like... Hey that looks like that Goonie on the Excelsior site... Hey I bet if you spell the name backwards... Hey! :cyclops:

My favorite Excelsior Goonie is the Iron Wombat, I did a review for EMRR on that one a few years ago, and I've got another one in the build pile. If I remember right, the fin marking guide/instructions were not correct somehow. Pretty obvious if you look at the picture though...

Thanks for the heads up. I have that one vying for my attention too.

I've been looking around Ninfinger for an Estes Mark, using the same type of design as Excelsior's KRAM. Does anyone have a link to a pic of what it looks like?

Thanks

I ordered the KRAM decals by mistake but my fate was to build it. I had a cannibalized Patriot kit with the coupling ring and then received another Baby Bertha at the club's Christmas exchange. Build it with the motor mount forward and it flies well. With the nose blow recovery and a poor excuse for a streamer it falls like a rock, but even the new kids on the block like the old school pumpkin orange paint and the scalloped decal matches well with the gloss black. I have used this rocket in competition as a spot lander into a stiff wind and I think I might even get a ribbon.

(mock hysteria) You mean it's patterned after... YOU?!?

Odd. I've never seen you wear a shirt with that decal design... But then again, I'm not sure that I've *ever* seen you... (sly look)

I thought that we went over this already. Here is a picture of me at NARAM 51. I'm the one wearing the blue cap:

If that isn't clear enough, you can find an enhanced image here.

There was a radio show on the local station in Detroit that had a bit called 'Gee, I didn't know that!"

Every time the guy got an obvious answer wrong or just didn't know the answer, the questioner would always tell him, "Take you rings off. You are about to smack yourself in the forehead."

John, take your rings off!
