I just ordered the short kit for the AIM-9 Sidewinder from KN Aeronautics. I'm looking forward to building a flying scale model of one of the missiles that I previously had experience with when flying the F-14 Tomcat.

It would be great to hear from others who have successfully built and flown this kit. I would especially be interested in learning more about the following for this kit:

1. What motors you have flown in this kit and the nose weight required?
2. What motor retainer did you use and why?
3. What shock cord anchor and launch lugs did you use?
4. Overall performance and your satisfaction with this awesome looking kit.

If anyone has an Open Rocket or RockSim file you created for this kit which you are willing to share it would be very much appreciated?

FYI, I'm considering building it using a Wildman or Madcow fiberglass body tube instead of LOC cardboard, pro/con comments appreciated.

Thank you in advance!

Best regards,

Keith
