I'm newbie with just built 4 Cardstock model, i used Elastic Shock Cord with tri-fold mount and works great.
But i'm interested to use a kevlar mounted in the motor mount, but i'm not sure if the body could be damaged for the hard and thin kevlar cord. So anyone has used the kevlar cord in his cardstock model.

Thanks!

I used it in a cardstock egglofter and it worked fine. You can see it in the photo, the thin stuff going into the BT.

I've use just Kevlar in most of my Micromaxx downscale models with no problems.
The pictured small Missile Toe Goony is nose blow recovery. I've had no problems with the Kevlar pulling out of the engine mount.
On a model this small there is no space for anything else but the Kevlar line.
You could certainly tie some elastic to the end of the Kevlar on a slightly larger rocket.

The Micro FlisKits I've built have used braided Kevlar from the engine mount to the nose cone, with no elastic. These Flis Micro kits use a streamer for recovery.
