I launched it on an Aerotech M1075 Dark Matter. Here is a link to a video. Unfortunately there weren’t any real photographers at this launch.
Great flight, great motor! Thanks for posting.

Superb job! So am I correct in thinking the switchband and avionics were located amidships, in line with the 'R' in 'ARMY'..?Here are a couple photos from that day a little more close up to show some details.

Beautiful flight . . . But, that recovery was very scary !I launched it on an Aerotech M1075 Dark Matter. Here is a link to a video. Unfortunately there weren’t any real photographers at this launch.
Yup. A little pucker factor there for a second.Beautiful flight . . . But, that recovery was very scary !

But it landed gently a few hundred feet from the pad.
Tim, it was set for 1000 feet. I think the charge went off at the correct altitude, but that big chute took a little longer to unfurl than I had expected, and then it partially deflated when part of the airframe hit it. I changed the way I rigged the recovery harness as per sone folks suggestions and set the main at 1200 feet for the second flight. What was the main deployment altitude set at? Did the charges actually fire a noticeably later than expected?
Thanks. Granted, the airframe strike on the chute was a momentary problem, but otherwise to me everything looked great, so given the comments I was just wondering if there had been other issues.Tim, it was set for 1000 feet. It’s a tough design to pack your recovery in because it is almost 1/2 nose cone!!!
