I joined an paid my dues in 2008, but didn't renew in in 2009, does that mean for 2010, I have to pay the new member fee?

Thanks

Actually, Ben's information isn't quite correct....

The $10 extra is only for someone who needs new membership materials. You could go 5 years without renewing, and as long as you don't want a new binder, etc, you don't have to pay the $10.

A year lapse is only relevant in terms of certifications -- both TRA and NAR will let you go a year without renewing, and maintain your certifications. Go beyond that, and you have to recertify.

I just renewed my membership after 10 years! They sent me a new card, certification paperwork and a Tripoli hat pin.
