Had a great Saturday launch. Temp. was in the low 40's, winds 2 - 5 mph, cloud ceiling at about 3500' - cool but bearable. One of the guys from the church who is involved with the scouting program with me had arranged for us to use one of the drop zones on Fort Bragg Military Reservation as a launch site. Hundreds of acres of clear, open fields with no rocket eating trees in sight. There a was a concrete pad about 400' away from the road that was a perfect launch area - given the wind direction.

We had about 30 people show up - scouts, families and friends.

Most of the launches went quite well - a few unopened chutes, a couple of lost nose cones, one lost rocket (small & black - hard to see).

PART 2

The last was a picture of my arsenal. Now for some more.
We had one flight that looked perfect - straight up....but no deployment and it came straight down again. Here it is being retrieved.

And some other fun shots:

Will post a couple of videos as soon as I get them transferred over to you tube.
