My Mom and I spent our 40th and 60th birthdays in Oahu. While this year, we won't be there for our actual birthdays, in celebrating our 50th and 70th respective orbits around the sun, the destination is Maui.

So, anyone from the islands? Anywhere a guy can score a kit or two? Launch with a club?

Dates are from Oct 1-12th

As for Hawaiian birthdays, I've celebrated my 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 40th on Oahu. My first language was Hawaiian Pidgin. Unfortunately for me, dad got stationed in Okinawa on a short duty assignment, and the rest of the family had to return to the mainland before my accent locked.

The Hawaii Kai Rocketeers fly at Sandy Beach Park on the southeastern corner of Oahu. During my last visit with my daughter in November high winds kept the crew grounded. I hope to get luckier the next time. TRFer kuririn is the hook-up.

Howzit Brah!!
No NAR sections on Maui, only one on Oahu (my club, the Hawaii Kai Rocketeers), and one on the Big Island (the SHARKS: Society of High Altitude Rocket Kids). We launch early Sunday mornings, like sunup, before it gets crowded. Weather permitting, of course.
So if you're on Oahu on Oct.6, we'd be happy to have you join us. I'll PM you my name and email/phone #.
And here's a link to the club's Facebook page:https://www.facebook.com/NARSection781/
And our club honcho's rocketry blog:https://hawaiikairocketeer.blogspot.com/
Hope you can make it. If can, can. If no can, no can.:D
