I happened upon these videos today and thought the technique that the guy uses to support large unsupported spans is pretty clever. The first video shows the technique and the second one takes it a step further.

I generally use petg as support material for pla, and pla as support for petg for the exact reason that they don’t stick to each other at all. If you choose 100% infill supports it will essentially create a core
