They made extra strong cardboard tubes before fiberglass became the thing to use.

Vashon. Never actually saw one "live" , it looked interesting.

My first rocket was Vashon...v1 me thinks. Lot of fun. You can hand hold the thing and pull the pin. I did that when my mom had a friend over for tea...lololol. Late 60s. I have bought three of them through ebay over the years. Memory lane for sure...peace...John Downing

I wanted one of those too. Sadly, I didn't get into HPR until 1998 and it was already OOP. Guess I'll have to get a Wildman 8 inch Goblin.
