I'm feeling a bit techno-challenged. I am using a Mac to run Open Rocket. How do you import motor files into it so you can run simulations? I have a feeling it's not that tough, but I've been teaching 4th and 5th graders all day and my mind is tapioca!

Thanks,

Dwight

Dwight -

It is actually very easy in OpenRocket versions 1.1.1 and later to add engine files - the current version is 1.1.3, If you have a pre-1.1.1 version, go and get the new one.

If you have a .eng or .rse engine file already on your hard drive, just start openrocket, and choose the EDIT / PREFERENCES menu and you will see the window below - just use the ADD button to locate your engine files and you are good to go.

For those who have not used OR in a while, you might like the new built in thrust curve plotting tool output - see attached image.

Check out this thread, scroll down to #7...

I don't know if it's different on a Mac, but it worked for me in Windows.
