Has anybody tried putting a I205 motor in the AEROTECH Cheetah rocket yet. Any modifications to do so other then engine hook, mesh and the baffle?

Kinda......

I did it with the Arreaux [basically same with payload]because I could turn the payload into Dual deploy & use a tracker. I used the stock mount & baffle ......and let the motor hang out the back . No mesh, that would take up too much room, since it was DD really did not need it.

If ya do it with a stock Cheetah, probably won't ever see it again.[unless you stick some tracking/gps in it]
But if you build it right, can handle the motor.

If I did it again, I would use a longer motor mount and still use plastic baffle for shock cord attachment, leave off hook/mesh/thrust ring.

FWIW, those baffles are a lot tougher than they look. I put about 2s of fire through one when the flame came out the wrong end of a g76 ( chute deployed under full thrust ) and although it slumped a bit it had enough strength to zipper the tube until the elastic burned through.

I should rebuild that Mustang, actually.

At one of the launches in Washington - I saw an H195 used to over power a Cheetah. It was a supersonic flight and from what I remember it went over 5000 ft! Lots of paint peeling...
