First country to put a man on the moon.
I asked at the LHS today, and the grizzled old man behind the counter said people launch at George Bush Park. I found a video on YouTube of someone launching from one of the control line circles there. Lots of mentions of it on various non-rocket forums where someone randomly brings up, "Hey, anyone else fly rockets? Where can I launch?"

Looked it up on Google Earth. If the wind is out of the south, you can get ~1500 ft drift before you're in trees. If it's out of the north, launch by the trees and you'll have the same before you're in Westheimer Blvd. Should be enough on calm days to do some LPR stuff without driving all the way down to NASA or up to Hearne.

Anyone here go there for LPR launches?
