Joined the guys at Alamo Rocketeers out in Hondo Texas this morning.
Great group of guys and Mr. Art Applewhite puts a ton of hard work into organizing the whole thing.
Spectacular field with awesome support from airport ops. This has to be one of the best venues in Texas for rocketry. Twice, the airport Manager drove me to my rocket that drifted a little too far.
Flew three birds. An Estes Nike Smoke on a G40-7, a scratch build on an F67-9 (if ya haven't flown this motor, do yourself a favor and grab a few, they kick hard), and a re-cert after a 15 year hiatus. All successful and recertified Lvl 1. Planning to re-cert lvl 2 at the next launch.
