So I am guessing this is augmented reality since it used a Hololens. Seems to have been hyped to the max. We used a similar system to remotely teach somebody how to service one of our spectrometers a couple of years ago. The experience can be quite immersive. I went to wash my hands after using the system because that is what we do when we exit a lab. The thing was I wasn't actually in a lab.

Immersive yes, but not to the degree of hype in the article, if that is what they are talking about.
