Hi Everyone,

I just finished a stock Estes Honest John (re-release). It took me a long time to finally get around to painting it and applying the decals.

Anyway, it came out looking pretty good and it weighs in at about 350 grams empty. That's actually a little less than what the box says. RockSim gives really a sad flight though on the D-12-3. It seems it will only hit 58 mph and reach 173 feet. The problem is that it will only be going 22 mph when it leaves the launch rod. That's scary slow to me. I have an AT E-15-7 but the delay is about 2 seconds too long.

Would you fly it on a D-12-3?

I flew mine on a D12, it weathercocked a little but was otherwise fine. After that, it went with F12s until one's ejection charge did not got off.

Honest John flies fine with D12-3's. Do it when there is no wind though. Flies great with E15-4W's ;)
