Well, the 10k thing was only a year ago. 24mm vs 29mm and M1.5 vs subsonic are interesting tradeoffs. I really want a 100% crazy-long burn I motor in 38mm. Well, J, K, L, M, N & O too, in their respective smallest diameters.

True, true. After moving away from the desert a couple years ago, altitude record attempt road trips are all the rocket flying I've done. Any rocket flying is awesome, but altitude is definitely my drug of choice.

Hopefully Aerotech comes out with the j33. And maybe it won't quite be a j... then we can break the I record.

A 38mm 640Ns I32.9 would be perrrrrfect!

I really hope that they certify it as an I motor. Also that they make it available without a thrust ring for those of us that just want to glue some fins to it.

18 mm F motors with fins glued on. Working on the Telemini for tracking and dual deploy. The pic shows without electronics. Add another 6" of cardboard body below the nose cone. The Telemini includes a dual deploy altimeter and a RF tracker. No attempt to optimize, OpenRocket gives altitudes in the 4000' range.

Are you just breaking it apart at apogee, or adding a streamer for drogue?

Right now, using motor ejection (-10). Altimeter is for how high, using the tracker for finding it. Eventually, streamer at apogee (metallized Mylar).
