Please share some tips on how to make igniters for Level 1-2 high power motors.
Materials: where and what to buy?

i usually fly 3-4 grain 38mm motors.

But I have two big projects with 75mm mounts underway. Polecat Kits

I read a little about the topic, but I'd appreciate any advice.

thanks,
Greedo

Step 1) go to Wildmanrocketry.com
Step 2) find "big-uns" and "little-uns"
Step 3) place order.

Just my advice.

Motors usually come with the igniter/starter. For me it's easiest to buy "extras" from Wildman. Otherwise, if you really want to try making your own, a Quickburst kit works well.

Yup, easier to buy them already made. Watch this video and you'll know why most people just buy them already made.

Thank you all for the advice and the cool video. I got my launch control from Quickburst years ago. I will check out Quickburst, PML, and Wildman.

Great info in minutes. Thanks again.
The Rocketry Forum is awesome!

Quickburst igniters will light anything... I keep some Twiggys on hand for some of the more stubborn AT 29mm loads. Had two First Fires fail to light a G76, Twiggy did it no problem.
