Help !!! Computer People....

Service Unavailable....DNS Failure

The Server is temporarily unable to service your request....Please try again later.

This is the message I am getting when I put a website address in the address area at the top of this screen. I can access any website off of search engines. I have recently downloaded the Personal Firewall offered with my McAfee Virus Protection. Anyone got any ideas. I am runnning Windows XP home edition.

Any help would be appreciated.

Usually means the site is down temporarly. It should be back up at some point. Since you can post, your internet/computer are not bad, just the computer you are trying to access. Welcome to the world wide wait

This may have another cause rather than a site failure.

If you have McAffee - Did you install the application called PRIVACY MANAGER?

If you did, disable it and see what happens.

I did not install Privacy Service from McAfee.

You may have a spyware problem ..... download Ad Ware from https://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/ (its free). Run it, and see if things are ok - if they aint, let us know.
