Hi,

I have a rocketry warehouse hellfire kit and have a question. What are people using from motor retention on this kit? I searched for a build thread but couldn't find one. The rocket has a bowtail and would like to keep the look.

I have two rockets with boattails in which I used a Giant Leap Rocketry slimline motor retainer. In both cases it tucks up inside the boattail far enough that it looks clean.

+1 did the same thing with slim lines on several birds

For my Hellfire though, I went with an Aeropack. Put the retainer cap on the Aeropack and put it on the motor tube temporarily and slide the MMT up until the retainer cap is flush with the bottom of the boat tail, make a mark on the MMT at the upper CR. Install your MMT with the mark line and you're good to go. Looks good IMHO
