Hi all- I'm thinking of using these Spark Fun switches in upcoming HPR builds. Has anyone used them and what was your experience particularly with K through M flights. Thank you for your responses in advance.

"This is a perfect choice if you are in need of a heavy duty push button! These metal push buttons are a very tough, small, panel-mount latching switch with an illuminated white LED ring. It is a SPDT with 16mm threading and 1mm pitch."

I haven’t used them in any rocketry builds. It really depends on how resistant they are to the G forces, particularly with K - M motors and the deployment forces. Personally, I wouldn’t use latching switches like this in a rocket.

On the flip side I've used bed lamp style pushbutton switches (SPST) like below in heaps of my projects. This includes my L3 and a MD flight to Mach 2.3 and they've never once failed me.

Voyager 1, Plugger and Handeman-thanks for all your sage advice!
