Well, my dogs, at least, are not terribly fond of the fireworks. Every time the folks in the neighborhood shoot them off (always when I'm ready for bed) the dogs seem to think that there's a killer in the back yard that needs and much barking is required to alert us to the danger and scare the bad guys away.
