Here's to many more.
I'm getting precisely what I've wanted to get for this particular birthday (50th) since at least 20 years ago: my very own AARP membership. When my mother joined I surprised and delighted her by announcing that I'd researched AARP and found them to be a very good organization, and that I looked forward to joining myself. I went as far as to ask whether they had honorary memberships available (alas, no). I think she was very gratified to see that I'd accepted the Native concept that age was appreciated and elders are respected.Originally posted by powderburner
Did you get an opportunity to give hints about what you wanted or did you get pot-luck?
