I've searched and came up empty.
I've seen some past results, but I think we're up to the 9th Dance and I can't find much of anything about recent winners.

What is the record?
Held by whom?
What are the basic details of the record-holding rocket?
What's the propellant MF of the winner?
Lastly, any idea of the highest propellant MF successfully flown?

Hi Fred,

I can only speak of Hamster Dance 3...2013; the only "Dance" I've been able to attend. I flew the highest that year, to 13,030'. That year was held at Smoke Creek; a fun location and the nostalgia of flying at Smoke Creek was kinda neat! Tom didn't expect anything to fly that high at the time, so he was somewhat peeved at the altitude. I have no doubt that someone has surpassed that altitude by now...Tripoli Gerlach News covered many of the Dances, I bet that most or all of the Alpha Hamster altitudes could be found in there.

Good luck with your project!!!

Follow up to my previous post. From the Tripoli Gerlach News archives:

Hamster Dance 1, 2011: Dave Rose: (the only nominal flight of the event)
Hamster Dance 2, 2012: Gary Dickinson: 5648'
Hamster Dance 3, 2013: Eric Cayemberg: 13,030'
Hamster Dance 4, 2014: Gary Dickinson: 9574'
Hamster Dance 5, 2015: Gary Dickinson: 11,578'

No clue on HD 6-8, 2016-2018...

Thanks for the pointers to the Tripoli Gerlach news -- good reading!

So, the trending Alpha Hamster appears to be named Gary....

This year (2019) Gary is once again The Alpha Hamster.
A new Tripoli Gerlach rule is the Alpha is victimized by being made the Prefect.
Looking like next year HD will be held the first day of BALLS, so altitude limit is still don't bust waiver but it is 150,000'. Would be a mighty task with a 5 pound max weight.
