Back when "Ray Guy" was a famous punter, I had to explain to a neighbor that "Guy Lafluer" was not pronounced the same as "Ray Guy" - it was one of those 10-year old all day discussions permeated with many "no ways" and "but whys?!?" At the time I didn't know why, but I knew the correct pronunciations.
