A couple of times, while I was a travel agent, I had the opportunity to go to the beach that was in front of his house in Oahu. My guide once was talking about him to me (I was the only one on the bike tour), when we heard a voice over the hedge confirming what the guide said.

Ron's little brother Clint was also on the Andy Griffith Show. He played Leon, who was a kid dressed at a cowboy (not uncommon amongst kids at the time). He would offer either Andy or Barney a bite of his sandwich.
