I have a 1 oz bottle of BSI thin CA that I have been using off and on for about a year I guess and I noticed it is now more like gap filling CA. I still use for stuff like strengthening the edges of body tubes, but that's about. The whole time I was using it I didn't have a cap on it, but instead I had a pinpoint extension to get into tight places. Could this have caused it to change in viscosity or did the shelf life just expire and went bad. I noticed another bottle I have open but its capped with the original blue cap. Seems fine and water like.

Someone had mentioned that storing all viscosity's of CA in the refrigerator will extend the life of the product. Is this true and has anyone tried with success?

Thanks for your input.

CA cures when it reacts to moisture. Leaving the tip open allows moisture from the air to enter the bottle and begin the curing process.
Refrigerated air cannot contain as much moisture, so an open bottle in the fridge will last longer. A sealed bottle at room temperature will also last longer.
I don’t use CA very often, so I like the small packs of tiny foil squeeze tubes. I just open a new one when I need it.

my CA is always in the fridge for this reason. And that's also why I tend to build more in the winter than the hot humid summers!!
