Freedom Launch is our Labor Day launch, planned for 31 August—2 September. It will be a three-day research and sport launch under TRA rules. NAR members are welcome.

Flight fees are $10 per day for members or $15 per day for non-members. The special weekend price for members is $20 ($10 savings).

Please Sign up for each day you want to fly. There is an event page for each day.

Set up for the event will begin at 05:00 PM on Friday. Those who assist with setup get first dibs on canopy and parking locations. Also, those who volunteer for 4 credits worth of duty get one free day fo flight fees at a future launch.

Any flights above 8K or an L will require prior approval, so fill out the following form for flight review:

Until a day or two ago, we were planning to attend. The launch site is just under the limit for a day's drive for us, the launch site is great, and the launches are very well run. And it might have been a brief escape from the oppressive heat we have had here lately.

But a series of minor, but annoying and distracting events will keep us from making it. We'll try to make it up there later!

You are always welcome and we will miss seeing you on the field.

Planning to attend Sunday and do static firing like I originally wanted to do in April. I'll sign up after I cast and know that I'll have enough good grains to make it worth it.

Please keep registering. We are trying to get food trucks for each day and will set the number of port-a-potties on projected attendance.
That’s awesome. I’m just at a year getting back into rockets and have been flying at Battlepark in VA exclusively. But I might try and make it down to a launch this year. Food trucks is an awesome idea. I know I won’t make this Labor Day launch, but I’ll try to work one into the calendar this flying season. I’ve got family down that way so I could kill two birds with one stone.

Come fly with us. You flight fees for the first day are on me.

New Century Rocketry will be there for the duration! My brother Samuel will be there the first two days, and I'll be there personally on the final day.

They are available on the flight
I have a question regarding flight cards. Are the cards available to download or will they be available at the LCO/RSO table?
They are available on the flight line. We used certain colors for particular flights.

Just a reminder, we will start setting up at 1700 today. Anyone who helps can set up their area tonight, but do not set up if we are not there or you will risk having to move.

I'm planning on coming Monday now. I will only have 3 motors to static fire. Plans to cast more got ruined as I got hit on the highway coming home from work Thursday.

Edit: I should mention that it was in stop & go traffic and so I was doing maybe 10 mph. Truck is still drivable but I don't want to drive it 2 hours to the launch and back.
