Long story made short - w pics! 
So, say I'm on the "Post a Pic" thread and want to post multiple pics. I go to that thread, then hover my mouse over the (Windows 11) Chrome browser's (or any windows program) "Maximize" (middle) button on the top system menu - I get this popup at the top right :
When I select the top left option, I can select the left or right panel, I select the left panel, I see this: (w no further action)
I then select my open pics folder on the right - C:\temp\temp and see this:
All ready to load up all the pics!
May take a bit to get used to, but a pretty handy feature.
(I bet Apple does this - MS always copies Apple! Notice the centered start bar icons w underlines)
