Anyone who has built a really big rocket with a Proline FG NC with the metal tip, can you give me a suggestion for getting the screw out so I can remove the tip? The NC is about 3.5' deep, and my arm is nowhere near long enough to reach it with a screwdriver.

I want to put some all thread in there, so I need to get it out.

Thanks.

and I will bet that it requires a standard no. 2 screwdriver :). reminds me of a time when we had to remove a part for inspection...had to make a 4' extension for the socket wrench, perhaps a screwdriver bit on a longish extension would work.

Twist the nose tip off. Hit the screw with a mallet to remove it.

To reinstall, drop the screw/ring assembly in, screw the tip on while pulling on it.

So I don't need to put counter-tension on the screw? It'll just twist off?
