I got board the other day so I can up with this I also have the other half done it works good
 
Man with a motor like that you need to set up to do them 12" cones :)

For really small parts say a BT-60 or smaller nose cone.

Make 'em just a hair smaller and dip them into epoxy.

Get the thin stuff like finishing epoxy or West System. Then just hang them pointy side down and let the excess drip off.

You don't have to make them really smooth before you coat them but, leave the wood dowel attached and chuck them back into the lathe to finish sand them after the epoxy cures.
