I would be interested in hearing from other people that have used the FlyCamOne2. This is a small video camera that records 640x480 video at 25 frames per second. It only weighs about 40 grams, and I have flown mine a few times by just taping it on the outside of the rocket.

My past few posts on the Rocket Stage show video clips from the FlyCamOne2 using the LOC-IV and LOC Forte' rockets. There is more information on the FlyCamOne2 on the hobby-lobby.com site at https://www.hobby-lobby.com/video-camera.htm .

Cool. I already have a collection of small cameras I use in rockets ... and I think I may have to add one more. :)

Looking at several videos I've found on the 'net, it appears the picture quality isn't as good as from the Polaroid and AIPTek cameras I've been using. But, the FlyCamOne2 is much smaller and lighter, so it could be used in more rockets.

I'm envisioning hooking a servo up to the bracket that swivels the camera lens. A simple timer could detect lift-off and trigger the server a second or two later. That way you could get a picture looking down the rocket at left-off which, a couple of seconds later, pans up to view the horizon. Another nice feature is the connector for hooking up an external start/stop switch.
