I know it exists, but I am having trouble finding it.

Does anyone know where I can find software that will track commercial flight paths? Not the planned stuff, but it tracks the actual flight path during the flight.

I have seen screen shots of it and it's pretty cool. Especially for people that travel a lot.

Anyone? Anyone?

Not quite what I was looking for, but pretty close.

This is software that will let you save the flight paths and all that as well. It shows the planned flight path and then it also tracks the actual path. Displays it on a 3Dish globe.

If only I could remember the name.........

Interesting that you should ask...my employer makes it. Or at least, it's bundled with our airline operations control programs.

There are a couple of different sources out there. Ours is FlightTraX, there's also Flight Explorer. None of it's cheap for an individual user. If you're looking for freeware, try www.pilotpointer.com. It might lead you in the right direction.
