FLEX-I-FILE PLAST-I-WELD NOT WORKING

Does anyone have any experience with this product?

I'm trying to use this to assemble a Mercury Redstone capsule tower and can't get it to work at all. I'm not using their touch n flow system, but I would think by getting the product in the joint that it would work.

quite likely it is formulated for a different type of plastic. styrene and high impact poly styrene are not the same plastic (neither are pvc, abs, or cpvc the same). you might do well to try fast ca to build your les.

Try Testors model cement. In the red tube.

It's MEK based and should work. Are you holding the pieces together and flowing the glue in the seam or putting it on the pieces and tgrn putting them together

I went with this product instead of regular model cement thinking it would be a cleaner application.

I never had a problem with the Flex-I-File glue but been using Plastruct or Same Stuff for quite a few years. Maybe they changed the formula so it won't cause cancer in California

The Plastistruct Plasti weld is made for ABS plastic. I am not sure about the Flex I Flight brand.
